Open this page in Chrome on your personal laptop, tap Start Conversation once, and allow the microphone. After that you just talk: pause briefly when you finish a thought, Ice answers out loud in the human voice, and listening starts again on its own. If Ice is mid-sentence and you want to change topics, just start talking — barge-in cuts Ice off and listens to you. Stop talking and Space still work too. If a reply gets cut off, say “continue” or tap Resume Ice and it picks up from the sentence where it stopped. Keep this laptop separate from your work laptop, dock, and work screens.
While Ice is talking, just start talking to cut in — or tap Stop talking / press Space. Listening never stops, so your new topic becomes the next turn.

Barge-in: starts with the conversation
Barge-in is how easily talking over Ice cuts a reply off. Normal is set careful on purpose: it takes clear, sustained speech, so a short sound, one word from across the room, or a TV line does not kill a reply — and a quick “yeah” never does. Low needs clearly more speech than Normal; High cuts in sooner, on less. If a reply does get cut off by accident, say “continue” or tap Resume Ice and it picks up from the sentence where it stopped.
Microphone: not checked yet
Shutting this laptop down does not shut Ice down. Work continues in the background; when you start again, ask “what happened while I was away?”
Estimate only — your real rate is on your bill. Screen-off time lowers the draw toward the low end.
